Wow, what an amazing job all the classes did today in assembly. I am so proud of all the students in Room 19. Your artwork looked amazing and your poems were lovely. It was great to have so many of the students wanting to read out their poems on stage. It wasn't possible to let everyone have a turn but there will be more opportunities for everyone to shine in the school production in Term 3. The poems and art will be on display in the classroom next week. Ka pai Room 19!
Haiku poems originate in Japan and consist of 3 lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables and the third 5 syllables.
