Happy!

Yay, we did it!  I am so proud of my "Happy" students who have done a fantastic job these last three days of performances, and few weeks of rehearsing.

Here are a few of our "getting ready" photos.

Thank you everyone for your support in coming along to watch and help students learning their lines and dance moves.

There were a few technical difficulties on Tuesday and Wednesday which meant our background video didn't play.  If you would like to see the music video we made then you can click here and view it on the Torbay TV website.  Happy Music Video

Calendar Art time

This week in Room 19 we have been busy working on our Calendar Art.  We watched a video on abstract art and the work of Pablo Picasso.  We then practiced our drawings and using pastels in our art books before embarking on our final piece.

I don't want to give away the finished product, but here are some photos of us hard at work on creating our masterpieces.  The students have all put a lot of effort in to choosing the colours they used and deciding on the patterns they wanted to create.  The finished art will be available for viewing in the office next term when you will be able to order calendars, diaries and cards.

Classroom Update

Hi Parents and Caregivers,

I just wanted to keep you updated on our class as it stands.  We currently have 22 students in our class, as this term 3 students have moved away from Torbay.  Class composition is now 9 boys and 13 girls.

It is School Disco time again, and I'm looking forward to seeing those that are coming tomorrow night dancing the night away and showing off their moves.

Tickets are available on the door $5 each or $10 if you have 2 or more children attending. Don't forget money for glow toys and lollies.

Our Variety Show is also fast approaching - tickets available now for the Matinee and two evening performances.  A letter has gone home today with ticket and performance timing details.

Lastly, the Kawau Syndicate has a trip planned to the Pumphouse Theatre in Takapuna to see a production of "The Velveteen Rabbit"  This will take place on the Tuesday of the last week of term.  I will need 3 parent helpers to cover our numbers for the trip so if you would like to come along please indicate when returning the form which has gone home today - sorry we can't take preschoolers.

Thank you.
